Relationship between Ayurveda and Yoga |
Yoga and Ayurveda are sister sciences, which were developed
under reciprocal influence through history. Ayurveda
harmonizes the body and Prana (Vital Force) to prepare them
for the process of meditation.
Ayurveda Therapies also involve the deep aspects of Yoga as
mantras and meditation. Therefore, both share many actions,
but in different ways and goals, which can add results, when
it has indication for a treatment.

The System of classic Yoga was compiled by Patanjali in "Yoga
Sutras", based in traditions of Vedic times. Called "Real
Yoga" it analyzes all skills of Yoga, since Asanas (positions)
and Pranayamas (respiratory exercises), until Mantras and
innumerable forms of Meditation.

Wakening the
Subtle Body - Chakras
Pass the mouse on the Chakras. |

Kundalini is the existing cosmic power in
each being. It is not a material force as
electricity or magnetism.
It is the potential force Shakti or
Cosmic Power, it is the inner force of evolution,
which has ability to develop our spiritual
potential.
In a deeper way Yoga requires the wakening of
Kundalini or the power of the serpent, as it is
also known.
This potential exists as "latent Centers of
energy" in the subtle body, the "Seven Chakras",
which are activated by Kundalini.
Chakras are circles of energy in movement
and also are important for healing in Ayurveda,
particularly related to Prana and mind,
that work through them.
Chakras conduct and guides body through the
nervous system.
