Kundalini is the existing cosmic power in each being. It is not a material force as electricity or magnetism.

It is the potential force Shakti or Cosmic Power, it is the inner force of evolution, which has ability to develop our spiritual potential.

In a deeper way Yoga requires the wakening of Kundalini or the power of the serpent, as it is also known.

This potential exists as "latent Centers of energy" in the subtle body, the "Seven Chakras", which are activated by Kundalini.

Chakras are circles of energy in movement and also are important for healing in Ayurveda, particularly related to Prana and mind, that work through them.

Chakras conduct and guides body through the nervous system.
