When ripe, it is a high-energy food and carbohydrate source. However,  green bananas also have high nutritional value and the BIOMASS is a high source of protein and gluten-free food, offering much more benefits. Unripe bananas are low in calories and sugar and offer high starch.

Contra indications: Obesity as it has high level of sucrose, it has hight potassium level and eating too many bananas may cause kidney failure, it can also cause diarrhea if eaten more than 3 bananas per day.
