5 TIPS TO MANAGE STRESS
-SLEEP – Keep the bedroom ventilated and free of environmental stimuli. Turn all electronic devices OFF. Don’t over think on problems at bedtime. Use an aroma diffuser with a few drops of vanilla or lavender essential oil on the side table or a wad of soaked cotton inside the pillowcase. Good sleep is essential for well-being and overall health.
-PLAN AND ORGANIZE – Be less picky to yourself, other people and situations. Understand that excessive commitments and activities will generate more charges and that not everything can be resolved immediately. You need to plan, organize and take action as may be practicable and consistent.
-MOMENT TO RELAX – Manage your time well and always set some time aside to relax, be in touch with yourself and nature. Get some hobby or activity that makes you happy and that is not work/job or other obligation.
-MOVE YOURSELF – Do some physical activity that you enjoy. Even simple daily activities as walking or bike ride for a half-hour are very welcome (it is even better at a park or leafy street). Exercises produce Endorphin “the pleasure hormone”, which improves your mood, immunity and overall health.
-BREATH – Learn to breathe! Especially in moments of intense pressure, remember to deeply inhale, holding the air for a few seconds and then exhale slowly. It’s a simple but very efficient and fast action that calms panic and all the bad sensations of peak stress.

People talk so much about stress, but it is important to clarify and exemplify it.
Stress – pressure or tension, stimulus – it is the body’s way of reacting to any situation. They are physical, emotional and mental positive or negative responses to any external stimulus. It is a natural defense that allows us to live. The way you react to stimuli is what sets if you will do well or not, and your overall health and way of living.
Our body is prepared for situations of strong stimulus (stress) and to react to them. There are times we need some reactions, even to protect ourselves from danger. If you cross the street and a car comes toward you, of course you will have an incentive to dodge, jump or run. It is a reaction of positive stress for your survival. This reaction is natural and healthy.

However, when someone can not bear the excess and repetition of stimuli for constant and immediate reactions, it causes physical and psychological imbalance. These people react badly even in simple situations. People who are calmer and less influenced by stress are the “Type B personality” – Kapha Dosha.
External Influences – The environment exerts important influences, covering family, work, friends, the city where we live and all their good and bad characteristics. Some determining factors are noise, pollution and the feeling of insecurity. And now, add up all the technological interference, which could affect the overall well-being.
